"Girls" and Video Games

Aside from my annoyance of the constant word, "Noob". I noticed a climbing sexist trend in the video game world. Guys complaining that "girls never play video games". Yet we do.

The video game industry knows women play games or they wouldn't be creating such popular games as Wedding Dash, Diner Dash, The Sims, and an array of Cooking and Fashion games. Now some girls, like me, enjoy the good old RPG like Fable, Dungeons and Dragons, Lord of the Rings, World of Warcraft as well. But here's the catch... The requirement/acceptability to play RPG's (if you're female) is that you must be over 300+ pounds and be ugly as possible. Probably a butch lesbian too. At least that's what I've been told and have read a countless amount of times in general chat.

Let me set the record straight here. I am the only girl in my family. I was raised as a middle child between two brothers that did nothing but play video games. My older brother needed someone to beat and my younger brother needed someone to play with. I was hooked. I've always had a vivid imagination as well so RPG was right up my alley. I mean hello, think about it, isn't a fantasy RPG almost more of a female thing than a guy thing? Girl's fantasize about unicorns, princesses, a knight in shining armor saving us from the dragon, witches, mermaids, making potions (love) all that. From day 1 that is associated with girls. Where as boys are trained to play with army men and shoot and kill. So what gives guys the right to say that women don't play games (especially RPGs) and if they do, they must be repulsive?

When you think of a guy that plays World of Warcraft, do you not picture an overweight, acne faced, coke-bottle glasses wearing, haven't showered in 5 days, teen (or middle aged) male living in his parents basement?

Realistically, the odds that someone that fits that description playing a game like WOW are pretty good, but the same guy plays Call of Duty too. Are all women to assume only ugly overweight losers play games? Do YOU want to be judged that way?

So is it then possible that a normal, or even a good looking, girl could play Dungeons and Dragons AND Wedding Dash at the same time?

Be logical.

All I hear/see is guys complaining that "no girls play games", "no girls play RPG's".... really? So when a female responds with, "Well I do!" why do you retaliate with extreme hatred and anger using "Well then you must be a fatty"!

Beggars can't be choosers. Choose your words wisely.

Guys and the Twilight Saga

Maybe I should just really call them boys! At least that seems to be their mentality. They are constantly criticizing this movie line based off of .....nothing. They don't read the books OR go to the movie, yet they say things like "that movie sucks" or it's "gay". How does one form an opinion on something without actually experiencing it? You might as well say giving birth is no problem because you don't give birth!

When the first movie was released I was constantly being told that Robert Pattinson was gay. Best part about this was that every guy that exclaimed this said "Cullen" is gay. When I corrected them with knowledgeable information, that his real name isn't actually, "Cullen". They say "oh well...then the guy that plays him IS." ... ok *rolls eyes*

Why is it so hard for guys to just look past a good looking guy and just enjoy the damn movie? Are you too used to seeing a Blond DD bimbo running around with a guy that looks like Ron Jeremy? Why is that believable to you but not a good looking guy with a good looking girl? Is it because in your opinion he is better looking than her? Is it because it's not believable a guy could fall in love with a Brunette in a movie and not a blond. Or maybe it's the fact he's not repeatedly trying to screw her, call her a "ho" every two seconds and goes onto the next girl. I know you're used to that in the movies, but that's not how "Love" works.

For Christ's sake women do not like "Edward Cullen" because of his looks. It's his attentiveness. His security, his eyes only for her, his risks, his affection, you get the point. Everything a woman wants, never gets and always deserves. Do you, as a man, honestly want to be treated like shit? You seriously want a girl to tell you to fuck off every two seconds, but then have sex with you and then act like you don't exist two seconds later? You really do not want, deep down inside, to find the one to grow old with and make you happy? This world has turned so sour and so deeply evolved just around sex we treat each other like whores. There is no respect for anyone anymore, in any way. Girls are just "bitches and hos" and guys are just "assholes and pimps".

So a book (turned movie) comes along that is exact opposite. More realistic if you were a new person at a new school. Someone independent and strong living alone with your single father that's barely home. You aren't the blond tan retard that is bouncing up and down with super huge boobs in a high school movie. And you meet the "perfect" guy. Girls like this movie because it is realistic in the sense that they can relate to Bella.

Who the hell has parents that are married anymore? Who is outgoing and a cheerleader now-a-days? Exactly. So for all the Shallow Childish guys that think "Edward" is gay is setting a horrible example on how women should be treated and show their true feelings towards a guy they are jealous of. So retarded and sad. I have yet to say that Transformers sucks just because a woman (Megan Fox) is masturbated to everyday by a bunch of guys. Guys that love the movie, just because SHE is in it. Not the movie itself, not the storyline, oh no because that is NOT what movies are about, they are about looks. You shallow assholes have proved that is the most important thing about a movie. Guy or Girl. The guy better be uglier/fatter than you and the girl better be hot and naked otherwise the move "sucks" or is "gay".

I really feel bad for the Twilight franchise not getting more support from the male community, for not actually considering the story and basing everything off of hearsay and immaturity.

After all how many movies do us ladies have to see other naked women in running around for no reason? Imagine if we based movies solely off that like you guys do?!

"Jacob is too buff" "Girls only like the movie because naked buff guys are in it" "Edward is too pale" "Edward is a pole"

Shut...the...fuck..UP! Deal with it like we have to!

Learn that Jacob is buff because he is a friggin' werewolf. Learn the guys are "naked" (but not really because they wear shorts) because they are 108 degrees and overheat, not to mention every time they transform they rip their clothes to shreds.

Edward is PALE because he's a VAMPIRE geniuses. And he's thin because that's his build

Cry me a River, Boo-frickin'-hoo!
